It is interesting that I can be talking about the same thing: how precious a life is, and there would be very different effects.
Talk about how suicide is devastating and people would applaud and agree.
Talk about how a life is snuffed out in abortions and people would say, "It's not a life yet..." People would be defensive...
Similarities :
1. Both acts, when successful, is a life lost.
2. Both acts, when successful, traumatize the ones left behind.
3. Both acts are intentional.
4. In both situations, people are desperate and need help.
Why the differential treatment? The unborn has no voice and is most vulnerable.
