"Children like Vera are here to gift us with precious life lessons. She has certainly deepened my perception of life."
We should be pro-life because we serve a God who is the Giver of life. I'm so grateful for this article shared by this awesome Mummy, who reminds me of my own parents, especially my late mum.
I often wrestle with how to speak up for people with severe disabilities because I guess it must be very hard on the parents, on the caregivers. This heartfelt sharing by Madam Tham just reinforced what we always know.
Families with special needs just need more support. Without support, people may resort to desperate measures like abortion, suicide, even divorce etc.
I pray for more of such inspiring stories to be told.
I have read, heard and I know, that the weaknesses of man, can only be strong in an Almighty God.💪

Babies with structural abnormalities, you deserve to live and you will live, just like any other babies.
"What is the worth of such children — the weakest members of our society?
Here’s a poem Vera inspired me to write:
Without weakness,
how do we find strength?
Without darkness
how do we see the light?
Without sorrow
how do we savour joy?
Without silence,
how do we learn to listen?
Without fear,
how do we learn to be brave?
Without death,
how do we treasure life?
Without loss,
how would we know what we have gained?"
